A Handy Cheat Sheet on the Use of Essential oils to Help us

I have curated this list for a while now and have found it to be a useful reference. Please be careful of using essential oils. They are POTENT. See the end for directions of use. Also, please use organic essential oils when you can, this is the essence of the flower, tree, bark, leaf, fruit, root, of the plant distilled down to it's essence and you really don't want any pesticides in there.

You can buy our 100% organic perfume made with organic essential oils (therapeutic grade - the highest) and organic jojoba oil. Fleet and Flower organic perfume has been accessed by a cosmetic chemist, has cleared a safety check, passed all safety/cosmetic legalisation and is listed in the EU cosmetic portal: it is safe. And with a 20% ratio of essential oils to a 80% ration of carrier oil it is a strong, therapeutic, helping, and potent perfume. If you want to read more about our ingredients or our policy and ethos please do.

The below oils are linked to Amazon where you can buy them if you wish, they are all organic and manufactured by NHR Organic Essential Oils, UK whom I deal with personally and on a business level so I really recommend this company. I understand essential oils can be expensive but they are potent; one drop (which is TINY!) is 80 roses so buy the best, organic and therapeutic grade. It is so worth it. You are worth it.

How to use Essential oils

  1. An essential oil diffuser- drop a few drops of the oil into the diffuser.
  2. Drop a few drops of the oil onto a dry cotton ball or pad and keep it close enough to be able to smell it.
  3. Mix with a carrier oil and apply it directly to the area. Google the oils you want to use and read the instructions as to how much to use. Essential oils are extremely potent and need to be treated with the utmost respect. If you are in doubt lavender seems to cure or help everything and is safe enough to be applied neat. Neat is the application of an essential oil without blending it with a carrier oil directly onto the skin. (Do not apply unto broken skin, spots, open cuts unless you research it or ask a medical practitioner.
  4. Steam- You can put the oils into a basin or bowl of steaming water. The oils attach to the steam molecules and rise. Place your head over the bowl with a towel over you and breath deeply. Please be careful as this can leave you feeling dizzy as essential oils are very potent and powerful.
  5. You can use a few drops of essential oils in the bath.

!CAUTION!

Each oil has its own preference for use and will work better with different methods so make sure your google each oil you plan on using. As I said before essential oils are extremely potent and should be treated with care. If you are unsure ask a nurse, doctor, pharmacist, chemist or an aromatherapist for more advice. ALWAYS keep essential oils away from heat sources and out of reach from children and pets.

If you are in need of medical help then please seek the advice of your medical practitioner first.  This post was written for educational purposes only, we are not medical professionals or aromatherapists so use these oils after more research and with respect; ensuring you contact the medical professionals should you have any questions.
